ACT Membership Application

The Alumni Council of Thunderbird (ACT) is a volunteer representative body of the school’s worldwide community. The council works to build One Thunderbird by fostering collaboration among alumni and by strengthening connections between alumni and the school. ACT membership is currently limited to 20 Thunderbird alumni who agree to participate actively in teleconferences and to complete assignments in a timely manner. Applicants also agree to attend at least one in-person meeting per year in Arizona (via video conference, if necessary), and to cover their own travel expenses and accommodations. (Thunderbird will provide meals during meetings.) All Thunderbird graduates are invited to apply using the form below. By submitting this form, applicants agree to the terms described. Please explain, in 400 words or less, what you would like to accomplish during your term as a member of ACT. Please be as specific as possible with details of programs or services you would propose and potentially be responsible for leading.
Please summarize in 400 words or less your career to date, including a.) functional expertise (e.g., marketing, finance, PR, legal, HR); b) key accomplishments and c.) any leadership roles. Please also mention your involvement with any volunteer organizations, again including any leadership roles.
Please describe, in 400 words or less, your involvement with Thunderbird as a student, since graduation, or both. Examples of involvement while a student could be student government, participating in fund-raising campaigns or working in one of the administrative offices. Involvement since graduation could be Chapter leadership or participation; attendance/sponsorship of Thunderbird activities or events; serving as a speaker for Thunderbird classes or Winterim sessions; providing student internships; hiring Thunderbird graduates; etc. Please list organizations, events or activities, your role, and approximate dates.
